The Spanish firm Alterhome, specialized in the management of vacation properties, has identified Mexico as a springboard for expansion in Latin America. With a consolidated presence in 15 markets in Spain and Belize, Alterhome manages over 400 properties and conducts between 3,000 and 6,000 accommodations monthly. The company differentiates itself from marketplaces by offering a more professionalized approach, which could provide a significant competitive advantage. Despite regulations, the Mexican market remains highly attractive and is consolidating as a key market in the adoption of this innovative model.

For the first time in history, La Vuelta, one of the most prestigious cycling races in the world, will arrive in Mexico at the end of 2025. The Desafío México by La Vuelta will combine the spirit of the Spanish classic with the spectacular landscapes and rich cultural heritage of the country. The event will take place in Dolores, Hidalgo, and is expected to generate an economic spillover of 60 million pesos. Mexico, with its dynamism and complexity, could be the perfect laboratory to define the future of temporary rentals in the region.

Ticketmaster, under the leadership of Ana María Arroyo, is advancing the digitization of events with its Account Manager platform, which has gained users in Mexico since its launch last November. The company seeks to address local challenges and seize opportunities in a market undergoing significant transformation. It currently operates in key destinations such as Mexico City, Tulum, Cancun, and Puerto Vallarta, and aims to establish itself in other cities like Los Cabos, Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Oaxaca.

The Ticketmaster platform stands out for the use of SafeTix digital tickets, which provide greater security to users. With over 500 sports teams and events utilizing this technology worldwide, Ticketmaster aims to transform the way fans enjoy shows. Additionally, Ticketmaster coincides with the 90th anniversary of La Vuelta, solidifying Mexico as an attractive destination for international cycling.

The diversification of tourist destinations, the growing demand from travelers, and the professionalization of the sector are key factors that continue to drive the tourism industry in Mexico. Despite local challenges, companies like Alterhome and Ticketmaster seek to adapt and seize opportunities in a constantly evolving market.
